As we come to the end of another incredible year, we’re celebrating the many ways our MedicAlert community continues to make a difference. Ā Our Petition Reaches over 8,000 Signatures

We’re thrilled to share that our recent petition calling for Government funding to support MedicAlertĀ® Services has received an incredible 8,040 signatures. This strong show of public support highlights how much New Zealanders value the life-saving protection MedicAlertĀ® provides.

We extend out heartfelt thanks to everyone who signed and shared the petition. Together we’re one step closer to ensuring equitable access for all who need it, but the job is still not complete. We encourage you to write to the Health Ā Minister (Simeon Brown), tell him your story and implore him to act, so Ā vulnerable disabled people and those with communication impairments can Ā affordably access and benefit from the Foundations proven and valuable servicesĀ across New Zealand.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Annual General Meeting. It was a great opportunity to reflect on the past years achievements, share updates and look ahead to the future of the Foundation. Together, we’ve achieved very meaningful milestones this year, from securing more than 8,000 signatures in our parliamentary petition in an effort to secure Government equitable service access funding for Health Consumers with hidden or life-threatening medical problems. To many at risk people are being left behind. To expanding the reach of our Medical Alerting Clinical Management (MACM) Platform Service, which continue to underpin national digital health initiatives that protect New Zealanders and add considerable value to national health services.

As we look toward the New Year, we remain committed to advancing safety, connection and peace of mind for all our members. Every achievement, big or small is made possible by your continued trust and support.
