Creating Safer Workplaces
Be part of a nationwide movement for safety and care.
By becoming MedicAlert® Response Ready, you’ll give your team the knowledge and confidence to recognise MedicAlert® Medical IDs and respond in emergencies - making your workplace safer, more inclusive, and trusted.
The MedicAlert® Response Ready certification is more than training.
It’s a badge of care and responsibility.
Why It Matters.
Every day, thousands of New Zealanders living with health conditions such as diabetes, epilepsy, and severe allergies rely on their MedicAlert® Medical ID to keep them safe.
But the ID only works if the people around them know what it means, and how torespond.
Who can be MedicAlert® Response Ready?
Any business that want to strengthen trust, safety, and inclusion. Teams that interact directly with customers or the public are a great fit for this programme. No medical background is required - just a commitment to keeping people safe.

How it works.
Step 1: Register: Register your business
Step 2: Online Assessment: Once approved, you’ll receive your pre-certification Manager’s Guide that will step you through the process and everything you need to know.
Step 3: Train your team: As part of the certification process, your team will complete MedicAlert® training. You’ll receive a dedicated company link to a short 10-minute online assessment for your staff to complete, followed by a comprehensive 1-hour training session delivered by our team.
Step 4: Show your commitment: Upon completion, you’ll receive your official MedicAlert® Response Ready badge and digital assets to proudly display across your workplace and website.
Step 5: Refresh: A short refresher is required each year to maintain certification and ensure your staff stay confident and prepared.
Depending on the size of your business and availability, certification can be completed in as little as one week.
